New Movement: Occupy Your Kids!

Christmas break is on. Bring on the crafts! We're starting a new movement and it's called "Occupy Your Kids!" Here's a few of our favorite ideas:

Free Santa Printables from Paperlicious- Letters to santa, wishlists, reindeer food labels.

Borax Crystal Snowflakes Making these right now. I will say it takes a few days to grow, not just overnight.

Disney Coloring Pages

Stick them in front of a computer! We love www.starfall.com and poptropica. LOVE poptropica.

Make a rainy day bucket. We did this a while ago and it was a win for everyone. I took some old suitcases and gathered up all of the tiny toys- you know the kids meal, birthday party booty types- and put them in the suitcase and wrote "Rainy Day" on it. It only comes out on a rainy day. No more tiny toys under feet and the toys seem like new and it takes some of the rainy day blues away.

Tackle It Tuesday - Christmas Cards!

The plan was to do Halloween Photo Cards and beat the rush of Holiday Card mayhem. Then Halloween got busy. Then Thanksgiving, got well, thankful (and maybe a little Disney Worldish.) So here we are, a mere 13 days before Christmas and we still haven't done our own photo cards! And we sell them! And we have the printers right here. And our dear friend gave us the perfect photo she took that we can use. Oh dear.

So I got motivated by 5minutesformom.com to throw it in the Tackle It Tuesday hopper and voila- Christmas cards! Whew. Thanks for the motivation. We're going with these fun guitar holiday photo cards.

Check that one off the list!

Free Christmas T-Shirt Printables

We made these fun t-shirts with a santa hat and a custom name on the brim for some friends and wanted to share the design, for FREE! That's right- you can download the printable, open it in Adobe Reader and change the name, then print it on a DARK t-shirt transfer and cut out. Follow directions on the iron-on package. Why a DARK t-shirt transfer? Because then you don't have to print it backwards.

We love these free santa claus t-shirts. They are just perfect as little Christmas gifts for kids, or teachers, or whole families or classes even.

Have fun!
