TWINS INVITATIONS GET A NEW FACE WITH PAPERLICIOUS
Owner/Designer Amy Nelson Starts Company While In Hospital For Birth of Her Twins;
Celebrates births with March of Dimes donation
February 27, 2007 – ATHENS, GA –
Paperlicious, a custom-printed invitations and stationery boutique, announced today the launch of Twins & Friends, an exclusive new line of invitations. Twins & Friends features twin-centered baby shower invitations, birth announcements, child birthday party invitations, and coordinating thank you notes. Paperlicious will donate $1 from every box of Twins & Friends invitations sold in 2007 to the March of Dimes, whose mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality.
Paperlicious, known for their stylish, affordable paper goods, created this new line after owner/designer Amy Nelson’s experience with her own twins. Nelson comments: “I couldn’t find twin birth announcements to suit my contemporary tastes, so I made them!” Indeed, the need is clear. Twin births have risen a whopping 66% since 1980, according to a 2005 report published by the Center for Disease Control.
The launch of Twins & Friends comes one year after Nelson started
Paperlicious from her hospital room at Columbia Presbyterian in New York City, where she was a patient prior to her daughters’ births. “I was there for monitoring; my pregnancy was high-risk. I spent every day working on the launch of Paperlicious. Having Paperlicious to focus on definitely kept me sane after 60 days in the hospital!”
Gifts & Decorative Accessories called Paperlicious a “fresh face” of the 2006 National Stationery Show.
Paperlicious has catered to such high-profile clients as Kid Rock and hip pop band The Click Five. The donations to the March of Dimes are in honor of Nelson’s own twins, who were born six weeks premature.
